Where Sidewalks End is an independent publication launched by Torrey Mortenson. This publication focuses on policy, politics, and everyday life in Eastern (and broader) Idaho. I try to keep everything at the state level or below to maintain focus on issues that affect real Idahoans.

About me

About me, I'm a lifelong Idahoan who is obsessed with finding and fixing broken things and we've got a lot of them. The title, Where Sidewalks End, is a nod not only to the country, gravel roads of rural Idaho but even the forgotten areas of my own city—Idaho Falls. I grew up thinking sidewalks were a "rich people" thing. In these posts you'll mostly find rantings of someone who is simultaneously in love and in hate with my city. I hope some parts of it can be helpful to you.
